Privacy

This site is operated by Caffeine Group LLC, a California limited liability company based in Santa Barbara. This page describes how we handle information from visitors to caffeinegroup.com. It does not cover our clients' own websites, which are governed by their own policies.

What we collect

When you contact us. If you email us or send a message through a form on this site, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address and the content of your message. We use it to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to run that relationship. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Automatically, when you visit. Like almost every website, our server records standard technical information: the pages requested, the date and time, browser and device type, and a truncated IP address. This is used to keep the site working and to understand roughly how it is used.

Analytics. [CONDITIONAL — this paragraph must match what is actually switched on.] If Google Analytics is enabled on this site, Google places cookies in your browser and receives information about your visit, including a device identifier and an approximate location derived from your IP address. That data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. We use it only in aggregate — which pages get read, where visitors arrive from — and never to identify an individual.

Embedded content. Some pages embed video or social posts from YouTube, Instagram or similar services. Where we can, we load these only after you click, so nothing is sent to those companies unless you choose to play the content. Once you do, that service receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, exactly as if you had visited it directly. Those companies' policies govern what happens next, and we have no control over it. YouTube embeds use the privacy-enhanced domain where possible.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

How long we keep things

Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful — usually the life of the conversation, or of the working relationship that follows. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@caffeinegroup.com and we will respond. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

We are a small business and do not meet the thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act apply to us. We have written this page anyway, because you are entitled to know what happens to your information.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this page changes materially we will update the date at the top. Last updated September 2026.
